Work Experience Editor
We are pleased to be offering a paid 70-hour editing work placement on our BFI-funded stop-motion short film ‘Two Black Boys in Paradise’.
This opportunity is intended for an aspiring editor who is looking to gain industry experience and will involve working alongside and learning from our editor, Sam Hodge.
This placement is paid at minimum wage and will take place over a number of months with working hours to be agreed with the successful candidate at a later date. Working hours will be spread across the remainder of the production (until approx June 2023) so that experience of the overall process is gained from editing the animatic, through to creating an assembly edit, to polishing a final cut.
Applications are open to everyone 16 or over at any level of education. Applicants must be a UK resident and have the right to work in the UK. No qualifications are necessary though we will be looking for demonstrated enthusiasm and passion for editing and the film & animation industry. Editing sessions will predominantly take place in London through some remote work may be possible.
If you are interested please send a CV and showreel (if you have one) to firstname.lastname@example.org explaining a bit about yourself, where you are currently based, why you are interested in the placement, and your career goals for the future. People from the Black community are especially encouraged to get in touch.
Applications close on 26th September 2022
